Principal Update 9/25/20

Hello Erie Middle School Families, 

On behalf of our Erie Middle School staff, I would like to thank you for partnering with us to support your student. Our teachers have been working incredibly hard to provide engaging learning experiences and meaningful connections with every student. We appreciate the efforts you have made at home during this online learning phase of the year. We cannot choose the adversity we face, but we do get to choose our response and everyone has been incredibly positive. We have come together as a strong community, committed to empower our students to achieve academic growth and success. This week SVVSD announced our plan for in-person learning beginning October 5. Please visit for additional information about our SVVSD hybrid in-person learning plan. We want to make you aware of some important dates and timing of additional information to be shared:   


  • September 28: Letter from the Principal Check your email next week for a letter detailing information about group assignments and what days your student will attend. This letter will also include a link to a Welcome Back to the Building video with guidelines to help students and staff maintain a healthy and safe environment at Erie Middle School.

  • October 2: Orientation Day  Sixth grade students and NEW seventh and eighth grade students will attend a half day orientation. Group 1 sixth grade students will attend from 8:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Group 2 sixth grade students will attend from 11:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Our seventh and eighth grade students who are NEW this year to Erie Middle School and have not yet had a chance to be in the building will attend from 8:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. 

  • Conferences: We will be sending details and links to help you sign up for parent teacher conferences next week. Conferences will be from 3:15 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. on October 8, 12, 13, and 14. Be sure to check your email.
