Greetings EMS Parents and Families,
We are incredibly grateful for your efforts as we work together to support the growth and success of our students. We hope you have been following us on Twitter and Facebook and have enjoyed the expressions of gratitude from our staff. If you would like to join us to express your gratitude for a specific person or group on Twitter, we encourage you to use #greatFULL in your post.
We are also grateful for our teachers who have been determined to help students have a strong start for the third quarter and are providing engaging learning activities both in person and online. We are determined to assure all EMS students meet the standards and are prepared for the rigors and expectations of high school. In that process, we want to be sure to support our students who are not yet fully on the path of preparedness for the next grade. If you would like to discuss your student’s progress with a specific teacher, please let them know, and they can set up a time to meet with you during office hours on Fridays. We will also continue to offer additional support for students with Tiger Support every Tuesday and Wednesday from 3:05-4:05 pm, as well as office hours and the opportunity to attend in person on Fridays from either 8:00-11:30 or 11:30-3:00. Students may attend through WebEx or in-person. Additionally, we are adding a summer opportunity for students who need an extra boost to meet math and language arts standards. Erie Middle School Project Launch will be held from June 7th through July 1st for our current sixth and seventh grade students. Erie High School will also provide summer options for our current 9th grade students to help them best be prepared for ninth grade. Please watch for more information in March.
We appreciate your support and are proud to work with you and your students as they pursue excellence and growth. I am truly proud to be your principal. Please review this newsletter for important information and if you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact by phone or email. Have a great day.
