8th Grader Baby Ads For The Yearbook

Hello!

2018-19 Late Start Schedules and Overview

There are seven late start days throughout the school year where classes start at 10:30 AM.  This allows staff to collaborate once a month with professional development and discuss how to best meet the needs of our students and reach our school goals.

School Accountability Committee

The School Accountability Committee (SAC) is a collaborative group of parents, staff, and community members that meet to support the success of Erie Middle School. We will examine the School Performance Framework, attendance rates, local assessment measures, and other data sources.

Order Your Yearbook

We are excited to announce that the 2019 Erie Middle School yearbook is now on sale. Make sure that your student doesn’t miss out on our yearbook tradition. It’s the only book that captures the year’s events, activities, friendships, experiences and memories from Erie Middle School. The book is on sale until November 2nd for the lowest price.

Halloween Expectations

Students who are wanting to dress up for Halloween will have the opportunity to do so on Wednesday Oct. 31st. This year there WILL NOT be a Halloween dance. It is important to remember that school dress code applies to all costumes worn to school.

Good Movie, Better Book Club

We will be kicking off our Good Movie, Better Book Club on Oct. 23rd with "The Chronicles of Narnia: the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe." Our additional meeting dates and times are as follows: 3:05-4:15 in Mrs. Kemp's classroom C108. Dates: Oct. 30, Nov 13, Dec 4, Jan 8, Feb 5, Feb 19, March 5, March 19. Stay tuned for the rest of our titles as we read books on our own and then watch the movies together while enjoying snacks. Contact Mrs. Kemp for a permission slip, pick one up in the main office or print the below attachment.

Socktober

Student Council's annual Socktober donation drive is the entire month of October.  Our goal is to collect 800 pair's of socks.  That is approximately 1 pair per student.  Donation box will be in the main hallway.  All donations go to Erie Uplink.

Parents Involved in Education

Reminder that our next session title is “Learn to Smile More”, and we will be discussing mental wellbeing, advocating for yourself and your children, and discuss depression and suicide and how to identify warning signs. Our presenter will share lots of resources and host small discussion groups among our parents.
