Hello Tiger Families!

Hello Tiger Families,

Today in Advisory we delivered our Principal’s Honor Roll and Honor Roll certificates and stickers. Are you ready for this?! 210 students earned a 4.0 in our school and 228 students earned a 3.5 to 3.99. That is a total of 438 students!

This is FANTASTIC! Our students are working hard and achieving really amazing things in our classrooms. This year, we moved to a new way to recognize our students. Along with their certificate, students now receive a sticker with the year and quarter marked on it. They can collect these stickers throughout their middle school career to show their achievement and dedication. We believe this is a more long-lasting way to celebrate our students AND a way to follow our district’s guidelines of not utilizing our school budget for food incentives.

This week, I also had the chance to get into 7th grade classrooms to work with students on the behaviors and skills that align with our school values. We did a really neat activity where students “connected the dots” between their daily actions and our ROARS values. I had a TON of fun with the students…and I strongly believe that these types of lessons and conversations make our school a more positive place to learn.

Also, parents, please take a moment to check out the Recent Updates section of our newsletter each week. This is where a lot of our information is posted.
