Tiger News
September 8, 2023
Hello Tiger Families!
I need to warn ya….some fun is coming! Like. Lots of fun!
I joined an inspiring meeting with PTO this past week where we developed our plans for the fall fundraiser. We are working to create some amazing and fun incentives for our students as we raise money for our school. SO MUCH of what we do is supported by our PTO (they are amazing!), and the funding that comes from this drive is vital to all of our great programming and events. Your job? It’s two-fold for now — be willing to share our fundraising info with family and friends to help us boost our donations AND be sure to read over some upcoming communication as we prepare for our first every EMS Bubble Blast! I will be sharing some info next week, and PTO will be sending an email with some options for volunteering to help us with our celebration on October 12th. More info coming soon!
Another topic at our PTO meeting was about meals for teachers at conferences. These long nights for our staff are made SO MUCH better when we have good food to enjoy for dinner. It helps us feel loved and taken care of and appreciated! During Covid, we had to move to all catered meals. However, now we have the option to put together a donation or pot luck style option to save money that can go towards other needs. But we need some help! Specifically, we are looking for 1 or 2 parents who are willing to volunteer to be our “point people” for conference meals. This would include organizing a Sign Up Genius, communicating with parents about volunteering with set up, and generally helping us pull off a yummy dinner for our staff. Interested? Email me and I will get you connected with our PTO. We’d love to see ONE of our 4 conference sessions this fall covered by donations/parent efforts.
Happy Friday!
