Digestion Activity
This may look like a messy lab table…but there is A LOT going on. Mrs. K had students use random classroom objects to model the digestive system. Students worked hard to show that they understood both the structure and function of all the organs. A great way to engage students during the last week before break!

Hello Tiger Families!

We finished our final week of 2023 with smiles, field trips, treats, final projects, and classroom celebrations. We are all feeling ready for winter break, and we wish you happy holidays!

Our third quarter will start on Monday, January 8th and third quarter schedules will be available to students in their Infinite Campus portal on Friday, January 5th.

I hope you have a wonderful end of this year, and I look forward to getting back at it in January.

Thank you!

Happy Holidays from EMS

Attendance Tips

Attend Today, Achieve Tomorrow

Graphic. Black background. Red circle that says Erie Middle School. Green square that says Be Here. Purple starburst that says Every Day. Light blue rectangle that says All Day. Yellow starburst that says Attendance Matters! White wording that is on the left of the graphic that says Attend Today, Achieve Tomorrow

Erie Middle School would like to highlight the importance of your child’s consistent attendance.

Regular attendance is a critical factor in academic success, fostering social and emotional growth, and preparing students for the future. It directly contributes to a positive school culture and ensures your child doesn’t miss out on valuable learning opportunities. An attendance rate below 90% is considered “Chronically Absent”.

While we understand occasional absences may occur, we encourage you to schedule appointments and vacations outside of school hours when possible.  All absences after the equivalent of 10 school days in a school year will be unexcused without a medical note.  Open communication is key—if your child must miss school, please notify us promptly so we can support them in catching them up academically.

Your partnership in your child’s education is invaluable. If you have any concerns or questions, feel free to reach out.

Please provide the school with a note from the doctor, orthodontist, dentist, therapist, or any appointment each time you go.

If you know your student will be absent, tardy or checking out of school please fill out this Google form.
